For the first time in 10 years, Wankhede spectators can see Tendulkar playing in MI (Mumbai Indians) colors. Sachin Tendulkar, one of the best-known players in world cricket and arguably the most famous player in Mumbai’s famous cricket history, last played for the Mumbai Indians in 2013, the same year the team won five The first of the IPL trophies. Nearly a decade later, Sachin’s son Arjun Tendulkar made his debut for the same team in the same game as his father’s last international appearance.

In this iconic moment, Tendulkar-duo became the first ever father-son pair to appear in an IPL and no doubt the fearless master of blasting will also be overwhelmed by the turn of events. Sachin wrote about his emotions on Twitter and wished Arjun all the best for the future.
Sachin writes that this is an important step for Arjun on his journey, and hopes he will give the game the respect it deserves and, in turn, be loved by the game itself. He went on to write that he was sure Arjun would not stop working hard, and he ended his two tweets by wishing him the best for the future.
Arjun bowls twice in debut
Arjun opened the bowling for MI and troubled Kolkata Knight Riders’ opener when he used the grass to move for the new ball. He caused problems for N Jagadeesan and Rahmanullah Gurbaz as he ran just four runs in his first over.
Arjun, however, was hit by Venkatesh Iyer for a boundary and maximum in his second over, and he gave up 13 runs. Arjun thus scored 17 runs with an economy of 8.5 for his tryst with the ball in his debut. However, the 23-year-old lost the wicket as substitute skipper Suryakumar Yadav did not give him more chances to bowl, despite the high cost of delivery by the MI bowlers.
