The 16th Annual Indian Premier League kicks off today, March 31st. IPL 2023 kicks off with a clash between heavyweights Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Gujarat Titans.The opening ceremony will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The T20 Cricket Extravaganza will take place at 12 venues, with the opening match at Narendra Modi Stadium and the final of the tournament on 28 May at the same venue in Ahmedabad.


Who will be performing at the opening ceremony?
This year’s IPL opening ceremony will also include a musical component, with Arijit Singh performing at the event. Actresses Tamanna Bhatia and Rashmika Mandana will also perform at the IPL 2023 opening ceremony. Besides them, there are many big names in the film industry.Katrina & Tiger also perform at opening ceremony.

The IPL 2023 Opening Ceremony will begin at 6pm and fans will be able to watch the ceremony and other matches live on Star Sports. LIVE distribution can be viewed for free with the Jio Cinema app. Zee Business reports that overseas viewers of the game will be able to watch it via DAZN. In the UK, fans can watch the match via ITV, which is broadcast for free.
IPL 2023 Venue
IPL 2023 will be held at a total of 12 venues. Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati (second home of the royal family), Dharamsala (second home of the king).
For the first time since 2019, the league will return to a customary home and away schedule in India, with each team playing a total of 14 games. Each team has home support, playing seven games at their home turf and the remaining seven at away venues.

IPL 2023 takes place opposed to defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) and four-time champions Chennai Super Kings. This match will be a contest between two generations of Indian cricket. CSK captain MS Dhoni took Indian cricket to new heights in the late 2000s and early 2010s, winning the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup (2007), ICC Cricket World Cup (2011) and ICC Champions Trophy (2013) . Pandya also led India to several victories in brief form at the international level and established himself as the future captain of the white team.
