JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture courses in various prestigious institutes across India, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally funded technical institutions.
The exam is conducted twice a year, usually in January and April, in online mode. It consists of two papers – Paper 1 for engineering courses and Paper 2 for architecture courses.
