ME/M.Tech Eligibility Criteria:
The basic eligibility requirements for admission to the ME/MTech program are:
Candidates who achieve a valid GATE score and obtain a BE/BTech degree are eligible for ME/MTech degree courses.
Candidates who have completed a five-year program in science or applied science and have been awarded a Master of Science degree are also eligible for the Master of Engineering course.
Admission is based on the rank obtained in the entrance examination administered by ME./MTech.

MTech 2023 Entrance Exam – GATE
The Engineering Graduate Aptitude Test, or commonly known as GATE, is a national-level engineering examination administered annually for admission to graduate and doctoral level courses in the IIT, NIT, and IIIT. The trial will be conducted jointly by seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
Various government and private agencies across the country accept GATE scores for admission to MTech programs. In addition, Public Sector Units (PSU) are also recruiting engineers through GATE.
GATE 2023 will be held in online mode on 4, 5, 11 and 12 February by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Temporary keys will be available from February 21st through February 25th. Results will be announced between March 16th and March 31st, 2023.
