Additional District and Sessions Judge Swati Sehgal found the offender guilty under Section 376(3) of the IPC and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 to be paid to the victim.
A special fast-track court in Chandigarh has called the rape of an underage girl by a stepfather a “proper case that reflects the depletion of human values and departure from the norms and codes of conduct of our affluent and respectable society” , sentenced a man to life in prison (for the remainder of his natural life) for raping his underage stepdaughter.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Swati Sehgal found the wrongdoer guilty beneath Section 376(3) of the IPC and forced a fine of Rs 50,000 to be paid to the victim.
According to the prosecution, the FIR was enrolled based on a complaint from the victim’s mother, who said she as of now had two children and a girl when she hitched the guilty party within the case in 2013.
After living with the man for almost three or four months, the lady returned to her domestic in Chandigarh. That’s when the man begun forcing her to have another child with him. The man at that point went to visit her in Chandigarh and begun beating and abusing her before her children. In spite of the fact that the man was their stepfather, he too purportedly started mishandling the children. He moreover afterward continued to sexually development the woman’s underage girl. When the complainant attempted to halt him, he threatened to assault her girl before her.
The man afterward took the complainant’s underage girl to Uttar Pradesh without illuminating her. There, the men started assaulting the minor and indeed advertised to wed her. On November 6, 2018, the man called the complainant on his cell phone, requesting that she listen her girl shouting as he sexually manhandled her. After this, the lady drawn closer the police and raised the FIR against the man.
“It could be a case where the charged not as it were assaulted her stepdaughter, but too stooped to the level of calling the complainant – the victim’s mother – to listen her daughter’s shouts whereas she was being assaulted. The blamed has committed a shocking, genuine and contemptible act by treating his step-daughter as something of fun in a murderous demeanor which merits to be rebuffed innocuously and indulgently within the strictest term,” the court said.
