Twitter is a popular social media platform that allows users to share short messages called “tweets” of up to 280 characters. Twitter was launched in 2006 and has become a global platform for news, entertainment and communication. Twitter users can follow other users to see their tweets, and they can “like” and “retweet” tweets to show their support or share them with their own followers. Twitter also has hashtags, which allow users to categorize their tweets and find related content. Additionally, many businesses and organizations use Twitter for marketing and customer engagement purposes.
Elon Musk made it official by announcing the new CEO of Twitter, Linda Iaccarino.
Elon Musk announced plans for a new CEO of Twitter but did not say who it would be. In a tweet Thursday, Musk said he had “hired a new CEO for X/Twitter” and “will start in ~6 weeks.” Instead, Musk will take on the role of executive chairman and chief technology officer, “for products, software and systems” at Twitter.
It was reported that he was “in talks” to become CEO of Twitter, that Iaccarino was currently in “back-to-back rehearsals” for an advance presentation to advertisers.
Hey @elonmusk here’s an idea for our new partnership: Periscope for #Paris2024. Let’s just go hi-res first…😉 🇺🇸🇫🇷🥇 https://t.co/Np7Bz709cv pic.twitter.com/24KTknXVJi

Twitter recently announced an expanded partnership for the service to coverage of the 2023 Olympics, with Iaccarino tweeting to Musk that Twitter should bring back Periscope. He also recently interviewed Musk in person at a potential 2023 marketing event in Miami.
Although Musk may no longer be CEO soon, he still owns the company, which he named “X.” Giving someone else a separate title is unlikely to make Twitter smaller as a result. Musk became “Chief Tweet” last October, when he closed the company’s acquisitions, after which many of his executive team and thousands of other employees were fired.
Another question is how Musk’s divided attention has affected his other companies (Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company – did we miss any?) and how it will affect them in the future.

My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.

Musk has reshaped Twitter’s policies, and they appear to be in line with his own wishes, prompting speculation about how long his tenure will last — and how much it affects his other companies .
Musk’s tenure also included changes that affected Twitter’s relationship with users, public safety officials and others.
